What a day....Sunday was amazing!! The Christmas service at church was so touching and beautiful. I love my church! There was a live Nativity for the children with a camel, mini cows, goats, a Joseph, Mary, Wise men and a baby Jesus. Maddy really liked seeing the animals and visiting the Nativity with her class. I'm really looking forward to seeing the service again on Christmas Eve. It's a tradition at Casa de Martinez to attend the last Christmas Eve service (4pm), head home for Mexican food (tamales) and then decorate/ice cookies for Santa.
Ok, so back to our amazing day. Later in the afternoon, Gigi came up to RR. Gigi and Maddy decorated their gingerbread house with tons of icing and candy. It's a tradition they do together every year. Then Gigi babysat so Jesse and I could finish all our Christmas errands. The stores weren't nearly as crowded as we expected. The lines were a bit longer than normal but not very bad at all. My sweet hubby took me to dinner and bought me some great gifts from "Santa". We came home to 2 sleeping babies. It really was a great day!
