Elgin Pumpkin Fest

If you've never been to the Elgin Pumpkin Fest, go! It was so much fun. We stayed for several hours. Things to do: pumpkin painting, hay-ride, face painting, bbq, sweet treats, live music, playground, pony rides, and tons of great photo opportunities. Maddy loved it!

I had a special little moment while I was there. I was pushing Coop in the swing and just thinking about the beautiful day and how nice it was to be there. I looked over to see my beautiful daughter eating a bright orange (messy) cupcake with her daddy. My very favorite Johnny Cash song was being played by the live band. I had an overwhelming "moment" of pure happiness...Being with my little family and enjoying every second of the time we share together.
