Landa Park

Our "Day Trip" to New Braunfels started at Landa Park. This park is huge and so beautiful. It's next to a golf course and sits along the Comal river and Landa Lake. Inside the park are several large playscapes, lots of shady trees and a train (similar to Zilker). There were hundreds of people/families enjoying the beautiful weather. But because the park is so large it never felt crowded. After our picnic we headed to McKenna which was only 5 minutes away. If you are looking for a day trip then New Braunfels would be a good pick! The town is breathtaking. The shops and restaurants are so cute. It's such a peaceful and relaxing little town. We drove right by Huisache, one of our favorite restaurants and a great place for a family meal. We really did have a great day. Gigi, Omi and Uncle Brian joined us which made the day extra special!
